With deep sadness, Global Healthworks Foundation expresses its sincere condolences for the passing of one of our great leaders, Chris O’Connor – an awesome humanitarian who brought such depth of kindness & compassion to our medical outreach initiatives in Guatemala.
You will always be remembered as a gentle giant with a generous spirit, and for your genuine advocacy for others – including the marginalized and less fortunate.
Often with simple words and gestures, you made each of us feel extremely special. We are especially grateful to have been the recipients of your warm and frequent embraces that nourished our emotional well-being.
We have been truly honored and blessed to have your presence and guidance among us.
During the two-year period in which he served as GHF’s Central America Program Manager, Greg Radicone expanded the Foundation’s weekly mobile clinic program to provide healthcare services to new indigenous communities throughout the districts of El Quiché and Chichicastengo, Guatemala. And more than 15,000 patients received comprehensive treatments with acupuncture, natural herbal remedies, therapeutic soft-tissue bodywork, Reiki energy healing, nutritional and lifestyle counseling, and rehabilitative body movement exercises!
As Greg transitioned to other opportunities, his fellow team members presented him with this tribute video to acknowledge the great contributions he made to GHF’s outreach efforts in Guatemala.
In April 2017, volunteers with Global Healthworks Foundation treated many very happy patients during our recent jornada de salud integral (integrative health mission) in Guatemala. A great team of North American based acupuncturists, massage therapists, yoga instructors, and Reiki practitioners were joined by a terrific group of local Health Promoters to treat the communities of Chichicastenango and El Quiché -- shifting healthcare with kindness & compassion.
We did it! Don Francisco, the handsome gentleman featured in the cover photo here, was our 26,000th patient! We celebrated with a "Zumba" dance party and a song led by three of our local health promoters. We hope you can feel our joy wherever you are!
Gastón was left in the trusted hands of the amazing Global Healthworks Foundation mobile clinic team to cover for Greg during his well-deserved two-week vacation. The team traveled to multiple villages in Quichè, Guatemala – setting up camp for the day and providing Integrative Healthcare treatments to many, any & all.

This video provides a glimpse into the ways in which we're shifting healthcare with kindness and compassion with our patients, health promoters, and all those who cross our path. We hope you enjoy it!
This short video clip provides a glimpse of our medical outreach in Quiché, Guatemala where the indigenous populations have limited or no access to modern healthcare services. Our Integrative Healthcare services include acupuncture, natural herbal remedies, therapeutic soft-tissue bodywork, Reiki energy healing, nutritional and lifestyle counseling, and rehabilitative body movement exercises, such as yoga and Qigong.
During the 18-month period in which he served as GHF’s Central America Program Manager, Peter Caron spearheaded the launch of the Foundation’s weekly mobile clinic program which provides much needed healthcare to indigenous communities throughout the district of Quiché, Guatemala. During his tenure, the GHF mobile clinic provided comprehensive treatments to nearly 7,000 patients.
As Peter transitioned to other opportunities back in the U.S., his fellow team members presented him with this tribute video to acknowledge the great contributions he made to GHF’s outreach efforts in Guatemala.

Accumulating tons of experience from four prior trips here, 15 returning team members were joined by a few more newbies to form an EXTRAORDINARY team of volunteer practitioners. By week's end, more than 1,500 patients were treated with acupuncture, massage and other integrative healthcare modalities!
