Julie & Dan ◆ A Decade+ of Medical Outreach Togetherness!

As one can imagine, the effects of COVID-19 added further hardship on a population already suffering extreme poverty and violence - and this is especially the case in the Mayan communities in Guatemala. To continue our humanitarian goals, Global Healthworks Foundation (GHF) initiated a COVID-19 Response Initiative to deliver Quarantine Kits to families in need. The kits were designed to minimize the effect of the global pandemic on families, and they contain healthy food staples, face masks, natural plant medicines, and instruction materials to help educate people on steps they can take to prevent and respond to the spread of the coronavirus. Our local on-the-ground Mobile Clinic Team was able to safely create and deliver the Quarantine Kits following strict physical distancing and sanitation guidelines. The short video highlights our outreach efforts to deliver the kids to families in need.

Julie and Dan have been doing medical outreach work together for more than fourteen years – in Indonesia, Nepal and Guatemala.

Dan: “I am super excited my great traveling buddy Julie is joining me on this next medical mission trip!  She is a Super-Star and one the most dependable practitioners on our Global Healthworks Foundation (GHF) team!”

Julie:  “Hard to believe we’ve had so many wonderful and sometimes crazy adventures in healthcare together! With much gratitude amigo!!”

This short video of images that span a decade+ of Julie’s healthworks in Guatemala is a tribute to her dedication to GHF’s medical outreach efforts.
